Terms of use
Updated 15 September 2026
Dawām is provided by Ekale Investments Ltd. Using the app is acceptance of these terms. The app is free and has no account.
Prayer times
Prayer times are a calculation from your coordinates, the date and the method you choose. Where they differ from your local mosque, the mosque stands.
Asr differs by about an hour between the Shafi and Hanafi positions. Both are offered.
Suhoor
Suhoor ends at Fajr. The app adds no precautionary margin. Where your mosque announces an earlier imsāk, the mosque stands.
Qibla
The bearing is computed from your coordinates and is accurate. The phone's compass sensor can be pulled off by metal, magnets and electrical interference. For a place you pray in regularly, confirm the direction another way.
Notifications
Notifications are scheduled by the device. The operating system, battery settings and focus modes can delay or suppress them. Use another means of knowing a prayer has come in.
Content
Quran text, translations, hadith, duas and the 99 Names are reproduced from published collections. Grades shown with a hadith are those its source carries. The app is a reference and does not issue rulings. For a ruling, ask a qualified scholar.
Zakat
The zakat calculator applies a standard method to the figures you enter and returns an estimate. It is not financial or religious advice.
Fair use
Use the app for its purpose. Do not attempt to break it, extract its content in bulk, or misuse the services it depends on.
No warranty
The app is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind. So far as the law allows, Ekale Investments Ltd is not liable for loss arising from its use, including a missed prayer, a missed fast, or a direction faced in error. Where your local law gives you rights that cannot be excluded, those rights stand.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Uganda, where Ekale Investments Ltd is registered.
Changes
The current version, with its date, is on this page. Continued use after a change is acceptance.
